After inventing the ThinnyHairHolder® (Thinny®), Deirdre incorporated her own company: DeirdreJulia, Inc., to manufacture and sell the ThinnyHairHolder® hair accessory to women and girls everywhere.

Deirdre has very thin hair and as she aged, her hair became so thin it could not support the weight of a bobby pin or a barrette. Deirdre wanted to invent a device that would enable her to hold her hair invisibly, while also creating the appearance of greater volume. For several years, Deirdre experimented and made many different prototypes composed of various materials.
