Customer Question: Will ThinnyHairHolder work with thick hair that is very silky?  My hair is not damaged at all it is very silky and thick and long.

Deirdre Julia Callahan Answer:

Thick Silky Long Hair

If you have really thick, long and silky hair , it is very important that you use a curling iron or hot rollers before you use ThinnyHairHolder. Although I make this suggestion to anyone with any type of hair ( in other words it is a good idea for anyone who uses ThinnyHairHolder to use a curling iron or hot rollers before they use ThinnyHairHolder) -- these steps are really important with thick, long, silky hair. Here is why: ThinnyHairHolder is made of a special light reflective hook fabric which grabs your hair strands. If your hair is quite silky and thick , the ThinnyHairHolder will grab your hair, but the mere mass of your hair and its silky texture will work better with the Thinny if you at least have your hair "inclined to go in the direction you want it to go "before using the Thinny. Use a use a curling iron first or hot rollers first  before using the ThinnyHairHolder if you have thick, silky, long hair.  Sharlyn, the very beautiful hispanic model, who is in one of the ThinnyHairHolder videos on youtube-- has tremendously thick and silky hair.  We used hot rollers on Sharlyn''s hair before using the ThinnyHairHolder and before we filmed the video.  This helped to make her hair grab the Thinny more easily. ~ Deirdre Julia Callahan on Saturday night June 20, 2009 it is raining in Philadelphia and of course, I had my Thinny in my hair tonight when I went out to visit a friend.
